Britsburgh Arts Society Undressed - Director's tour: A history of fashion in underwear (Thurs, Jan 4; 6.30-8PM)
Shake of those post Christmas blues and join us at The Frick Pittsburgh for a special curated Director's tour of the renowned "Undressed - A history of fashion in underwear" special exhibition in association with London's Victoria & Albert Museum. Tour with Frick Director, Robin Nicholson as he gives us a Director's tour of the exhibit. Enjoy a drink at the cash bar. Tickets: Members $15; Non-members $20
Britsburgh Burns Supper (Sat, Jan 27; 6-10PM)
Imagine the scene... A beautiful wood paneled hall set for a banquet. A roaring fire in the hearth. The haunting bagpipes welcoming you in from the cold. Whisky tasting to warm you up. The address to the haggis ritual. The feast, the music, the dancing and laughter. What a great Scottish night out! Britsburgh Fundraiser. Tickets: $125; Young professionals $100.
Britsburgh Travel Society - World War I Centenary Tour (May 16-June 2, 2018)
Join Britsburgh and Duquesne University students on our World War I Centenary Tour. We will visit England, Belgium and France during this final year of special commemorations in Europe marking the 100th anniversary of the 1914-1918 conflict. Highlights include London (Celebrate the Royal wedding too May 19), the Ypres and Somme battlefields of the infamous Western Front in Belgium and France, and Paris and Versailles.
